Material selection is usually where a commercial furniture order gets complicated. Cria bills fabric and leather at what the mill charges, and accepts your own material on any piece.
A material library, not a swatch book
Cria Layout carries thousands of real-world materials. Apply them to the piece you have configured and generate photorealistic renders, so the finish is something you have seen on the actual configuration before it is quoted.
Billed at the mill’ published price
Most contract manufacturers sort fabric into roughly six grades and charge a flat rate per yard within each tier. Two fabrics with very different mill prices then cost the same on a quote, and a fabric sitting just over a tier boundary costs noticeably more than one just under it.
Cria does not do this. Fabric and leather are billed at the price the mill publishes for that specific material. What the mill charges is what appears on the quote.
Using your own material
Customer’ Own Material (COM) and Customer’ Own Leather (COL) are accepted. Material requirements vary depending on the piece, configuration and fabric pattern, including any pattern-repeat or matching requirements.
Final yardage or leather quantity is confirmed with your quote. COM and COL orders are subject to handling fees, which are included in the quote as well.
Lead times and warranty
Lead times generally run 3 to 12 weeks depending on the complexity of the order, the materials specified and your location. A firm lead time is confirmed once the order is placed and the specified materials are confirmed available.
Every piece carries a one-year warranty covering defects in materials and craftsmanship. Specific terms are provided at the time of purchase.
There is no minimum order. Some materials carry vendor minimums of their own, and we flag those before an order is submitted.
